Dear Parents,
Wow! Our third, fourth and fifth graders made it through two weeks of testing!
I am so proud of their stamina, perseverance and hard work. Nine hours of testing over six days is very rigorous, and yet when I checked on students during lunch they seemed happy and relaxed.
A big thank you to our teachers who helped the students approach the testing in a balanced manner, reminding them that school is about learning. And, testing is simply a time for the children to “show what they know.”
As May approaches, we have a few important reminders. Our Eagle Art show is May 3, our PTO meeting is on May 10th, the District Budget Vote in on May 15th (this year elementary students may also vote for our next snack choice!) and the Eagle concert is May 21. Also, just a reminder that school is closed on Friday, May 25th giving the children a four-day Memorial Day Weekend.
