Bethlehem A to Z heading

For the last four weeks, students at Hamagrael have been participating in the school’s annual “Jump Rope for Heart", sponsored by the American Heart Association. Community support for Jump Rope for Heart at Hamagrael has raised a 10-year total of more than $110,000. This year’s effort has been successful with more than $20,000 collected.

Summer Enrichment Program 2014

The Summer Enrichment Program offers students entering grades 3-8 in our district an opportunity to engage in hands on learning while still enjoying the perks of summer. A taste of the classes we offer are cooking, movie making, letterboxing, and classes in various sports, among others.

There are two one-week sessions running from July 7 to July 18 with three sessions offered per day. Find out more information by viewing our flyer and visit our website for a full list of course offerings and registration.

Litterless Lunch Week is April 21-25

Get ready and challenge yourself to pack a 100 percent "litterless lunch" during the week of April 21-25. Every student who brings a lunch packed in reusable containers and produces no waste at all  will receive a ticket and be entered into a drawing for special prizes. Bethlehem teams sweep Odyssey of the Mind

Three teams from Hamagrael Elementary competed in this year's Region 7 Odyssey of the Mind competition on March 1 and all finished in first or second place. Two of our teams placed first and will move on to compete in the NY Odyssey State Competition on April 12 at Binghamton University. READ MORE & SEE PHOTOS

Recap of Common Core In The Classroom

To help parents better understand what our curriculum looks like to students in the classroom under the state’s new Common Core Learning Standards, on Feb. 10, teachers at the elementary, middle and high school level described new aspects of the curriculum, such as writing and close reading in ELA to algorithms and fractions in Math.
