A Note from Principal Dave Ksanznak
May 17, 2013
Dear Parents,
On Tuesday, May 21 residents of the Bethlehem
Central School District will have the opportunity to vote on the
2013-14 school budget. The voting takes place in the upper gym of
the Bethlehem Central High School from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. In addition to
the budget, voters will select candidates to fill two seats on our
BC Board of Education. The candidates in the order they appear on
the ballot are:
Diane Giacone Stever
Christine E. Beck
Michael W. Cooper
You can find information about the budget and BOE candidates on our
district website.
Residents won’t be the only ones voting at the school budget in
Bethlehem. Elementary students will be entering voting books and
using iPads to vote on the next snack to be added to the menu in
their cafeterias. From 4-8 p.m. at the School Budget Vote at BCHS,
elementary students will be voicing their opinions. Parents, don’t
forget to bring your students along when you vote!
Our 4th and 5th grade Spring Concerts will be held this coming
Thursday, May 23. Here is the schedule for the evening:
Thursday, May 23
7-7:30 p.m. - Grade 4 Orchestra and Choir
8-9 p.m. - Grade 5 Orchestra, Band and Choir
The students will also have the opportunity to perform at a school
assembly. The 4th and 5th grade orchestra, 5th grade band and 4th
grade choir will perform on Thursday, May 23 at 2:15 p.m. and our
5th grade choir will perform on Wednesday, May 29 at 2:15 p.m. Both
programs will be held in our auditorium.
I would like to thank our fabulous music staff, Ms. Gen Vitale, Mr.
Patrick O’Connell and Mrs. Lorraine Guyon for all of their efforts
working with the students this year. Thanks also to our Hamagrael
Bethlehem Music Association representatives, Michael Roach and
Monica Roach, for their work as advocates for our children,
community and programs.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Sincerely,
Dave Ksanznak
