BC Art Supervisor Melanie Painter named interim principal at Clarksville

At its August 11 meeting, the Board of Education approved the appointment of current K-12 Art Supervisor Melanie Painter as interim principal at Clarksville Elementary School while Dorothy McDonald remains on extended medical leave.
The appointment is effective on August 16, and is expected to last until the early part of 2011.
“As we continue to wish Ms. McDonald well and look forward to her return, Clarksville is in excellent hands with Ms. Painter,” Superintendent Michael Tebbano said. “Her enthusiasm and academic leadership are a great fit for the school.”
The district will seek an interim subject supervisor for art while Ms. Painter is the interim principal at Clarksville.
