Superintendent embarks on ‘Listening Tour’
Dr. Thomas Douglas, who took over as Superintendent of Schools at Bethlehem Central School District on January 1, has commenced a Listening Tour of the district as part of his entry plan, a copy of which can be found here [PDF].
The listening tour will allow the superintendent to meet with a variety of individual stakeholders and large/small groups including, but not limited to, board members, administrators, association leaderships, faculty, support staff, students, parents, community members, civic officials, elected officials, and media representatives. The primary purpose of the listening tour is to hear individual and large/small groups’ perspectives, experiences, and opinions related to the Bethlehem Central School District.
“Sharing my entry plan is the first step in creating a transparent and positive relationship with the Bethlehem Central School District community,” said Dr. Douglas. “I look forward to familiarizing myself with staff, students, parents and other community members as I begin my listening tour.”
A meet and greet with Dr. Douglas will be held from 6-7 p.m., before the Board of Education meeting, on Wednesday, Jan. 18, in the BCHS foyer, just outside of the library. Light refreshments will be served.
