Important reminder regarding parental supervision of students below grade 9 at BCHS varsity football games

With our first home varsity football game this Friday, September 7, the Bethlehem CSD athletic department is again requesting that the following policy regarding attendance of students under grade 9 at Bethlehem home varsity football games be reviewed by all elementary and middle school families.

1. No child below grade 9 will be admitted to athletic contests unless accompanied by a responsible adult (parent/guardian) who will directly supervise his/her youngster throughout the contest.

2. Students below grade 9 who arrive at the game entry area without an adult will be held there until an adult can arrive to pick the student up to take him/her home or to attend the athletic contest with the student.

3. This policy is in effect and will be enforced for all varsity football games.

While the school district has many chaperones available to supervise the games, our concern for the safety of our elementary and middle school students is the strongest determining factor in the implementation of this policy. We believe that enforcing the policy as outlined will help in continuing to ensure that our school activities are safe enough for everyone to enjoy. Thank you for your attention to this announcement.
