Help Slingerlands Join the Crayola ColorCycle Program!
What is Crayola ColorCycle? ColorCycle is a sustainability initiative designed to turn used markers into energy!
How does it work? Used plastic markers are collected by schools and sent to an energy conversion site where the markers are collected in a large container. The plastic is melted and through a process, the hot liquid turns into a clean-burning liquid fuel. The fuel can be used to heat a home, run a car, or cook food!
Can any markers be sent in? Yes! Colorcycle accepts ALL BRANDS of markers. This INCLUDES dry erase markers and highlighters!
Our collection began on Nov. 1 and continues until April 30. The school that collects the most wins $500! A collection bin will be in the school lobby. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Bush at email@example.com.
Attention All School Bankers
Capital Communications Federal Credit Union will be our bank for school banking once again and encourage you to visit their web site, https://www.capcomfcu.org/school-banking.html, for details on their wonderful school banking programs. If you do not have an account and would like to sign up, please have your child stop by on any Tuesday and pick up an application or download the application here [PDF]. Earn money for Slingerlands by recycling ink & electronics
We are again joining with CFK, to recycle the following items:
• cell phones
• laser cartridges
• ink jet cartridges
Our drop box is located in the main office! If you have questions, feel free to contact Ms. Bush at email@example.com.

or send them to school with your child.
