Would you like extra help in Spanish? If so, come to peer tutoring every Wednesday during 9th period in room D142 and every Thursday during 9th period in room D136. If you have questions, see Ms. Westervelt in room D142.
Any senior interested in speaking at graduation should see Ms. Westervelt in Room D142 before the end of the day tomorrow, Friday, April 28th.
There is still time to join us next year for an exciting trip to England and Scotland. If you returned a permission slip, enroll, if you already have one, return your permission slip to Mr. Lewis. If you still need information, stop by room D106.
The student help desk is now accepting applications for the 2017-2018 school year. The deadline for applications is May 15th. Applications are available online through the technology page on the BCSD website, in the counseling center, or inquire at the student helpdesk located in the high school library.
Art Club will meet tomorrow, Thursday, April 27th in room D225. New members are always welcome and snacks will be provided.
Seniors: Applications are available in the Counseling Center in Naviance for the NY Penn League Tri-Village Valley Cats Scholarship. Awards ranging from $250.00 to $2,500 are designed for “B” average or better students. The deadline is June 5th.
Seniors: Applications are available in the Counseling Center in Naviance for the $4,000 David Scaringe Memorial Scholarship for a student planning to attend Clarkson University in the fall. The deadline is June 5th.
Come join local a cappella groups Capital Harmony, The Rusty Pipes, The Garnet Minstrels, Dutch Pipers and Vocal Point, as they raise their voices in the fight against cancer tomorrow, Friday, April 28th at 7 pm in the high school auditorium. Proceeds will benefit Anne’s Quest Foundation, whose mission is to raise funds for cancer research and awareness. Tickets for students are $5.00. See you there.
Any Senior who participates in two varsity sports during their senior year and has met all the requirements for the fitnessgram may apply for a physical education athletic exemption. Applications are available in the Counseling Center, Supervisor’s and Physical Education office. Completed forms need to be submitted to Mr. Powers in the Physical Education office no later than June 1, 2017.
Any Senior who is interested in completing an alternative activity exemption for physical education should see Mr. Powers in the Physical Education office. The alternative activity exemption is for one semester only and must be an activity not offered at BC, be instructional in nature, or have an assessment component. Completed forms for the fall semester are due no later than June 1, 2017, and should be submitted to Mr. Powers in the Physical Education office.
Amnesty International Club and New York for Syrian Refugees are teaming up to host a Spring Cabaret night on Wednesday, May 24th at 7pm. Stop by Mrs. Atallah’s room, D130 to sign up to perform or to purchase tickets. All acts from music to comedy are encouraged, but they must be school appropriate. Tickets are $6.00 for students and $12.00 for adults. This event will benefit local Syrian refugee families and is expected to see out fast. Hope to see you there!
SPAS will be hosting Dr. Melissa Berger, expert on human trafficking today, Thursday, April 27th, during 9th period in room G100. Please come and learn about this horrifying but important topic.
Senior Banquet tickets and Peace Out BC shirts will be sold to Seniors from April 24th through April 28th. Tickets will be sold in the Central Foyer during lunch periods. Banquet tickets will not be sold at the door.

Seniors: Applications are available on Naviance for the $500.00 ANCD Foundation Scholarship. Students evaluated on academic merit, community services, extracurricular activities, and a short essay. The deadline is June 30th.
Attention Juniors: Resumes are due June 1st. Sign up for a resume workshop in the counseling center or on Naviance. The resume workshop will be in the counseling center on May 3rd during 5th and 7th periods.
Environmental Club will be having its annual plant sale Friday, April 28th 1st through 8th period in the main foyer outside the cafeteria.
Entrepreneurship Club would like to congratulate Anthony Amato and Grace Wilton for being winners in the first Business Plan Competition Eagles Nest.
Reminder that the National Honor Society meeting is today, Thursday, April 27th at 2:15 in room D122.
