Photo Gallery: Women of Wind Energy at Hamagrael
Hamagrael Elementary School students learned all
about wind energy and even designed some mock turbine blades on Monday,
Dec. 12.
Avanelle Riley of GE Wind and the Women of Wind
Energy NY Capital Region Chapter gave a presentation to the students
before they got some hands-on experience. The students used cardboard,
paper plates and other materials to design wind turbine blades and
rotors to see if they could produce electricity on a small scale.
