BCHS students earn medals at Science Olympiad

The BCHS Science Olympiad team did very well in the Regional Olympiad held at St. Rose on Saturday, Feb. 4.

Science Olympiad is a science and engineering competition with around 20 events that vary from building a robot arm to identifying microbes that cause disease. The competition was tough and the BCHS team rose to the occasion finishing only six points away from a trip to the New York State Olympiad in March.

The following students received medals for their events:

Gold medals: Michael Clawar, Dan Zhou (Chem Lab), Josh Reichler, Jimmy Ding (Microbe Mission).

Silver medals: Noah Falk, Aria Shi (Disease Detectives), Michael Clawar, Ian Masters (Optics).

Congratulations to all team members and to the club President Josh Reichler for all his hard work organizing the all of the logistics!
