A welcome message from Superintendent Jody Monroe

Please note: A copy of this letter has been posted to the Aspen Parent Portal along with important information regarding student transportation, schedules, etc.

Dear BC Family:

I hope that you have had an enjoyable summer and are looking forward to another school year. I would like to welcome everyone back to Bethlehem, with special greetings to our new families and our entering kindergarten students. The beginning of school is such an exciting time and provides each of us with opportunities to get involved in new ways.

We have been busy over the summer preparing for another school year. Last year we had a large number of retirees, so we are welcoming many new faces to the district this year. Please look for a new publication in September that will profile our new instructional staff and introduce you to our new support staff. We have also developed a one-page reference guide for parents and community members to use to help ensure questions or concerns are addressed in the most effective and efficient manner. It can be found here: https://www.bethlehemschools.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/BC-contact-guide.pdf

This summer the district once again hosted a Google Learning Summit for educators throughout the Capital Region. Many of our faculty and staff participated as they work to make technology integration in BC classrooms as seamless as possible. We also had a large number of teachers who updated and revised curriculum, as well as participated in state and regional professional development.

As we begin another school year, I ask that you please review all of your contact information in ASPENIt is very important that we have your most recent information so that our staff are able to reach you when needed.  If you are not sure how to make these updates in ASPEN, please email the Technology Department at bcsdaspen@bcsd.neric.org

I am very much looking forward to my continued work with your family and encourage you to reach out to me should you need any assistance. Thank you for your continued support and enjoy the remainder of your summer.

Sincerely,

Jody Monroe
Superintendent of Schools
