Two Bethlehem Middle School students — Matt Wise, an eighth grader who plays trombone and Noah Koch, a seventh grade trumpet player — were selected to participate in the Suburban Council Jazz Band. The two-day festival was held at Columbia High School, in East Greenbush, on January 24-25. The students rehearsed long hours that culminated in a terrific concert on Saturday afternoon.

This is a tremendous honor and wonderful opportunity as students from all over the capital region auditioned in October to be chosen. The entire jazz band was made up of 19 students. The selected students received their music in November and have been dedicated to preparing for their rehearsals.
