BCMS Parent Teacher Organization
About the PTO
The Bethlehem Middle School PTO is a non-profit organization committed to supporting the Administration, Faculty, Students, and Families associated with the Bethlehem Middle School. The PTO seeks to fulfill this responsibility by raising funds and seeking out volunteers that will enable us to support the many programs and events that we are called upon to provide for in many ways.
The PTO's role in this endeavor has become even more crucial and important in recent years. We cannot fulfill our commitment to the children that make up the Bethlehem Middle School without your help. We therefore greatly appreciate parent involvement and participation at our public meetings and any other help that parents are able to offer. Feel free to contact us at any time with your ideas and questions and we thank you for your support.
Parent Volunteer Opportunities
During the school year, the PTO is asked to
provide parent support to help with various activities. For our
parents that like to long term plan,
provided is a list of events for the 2012-2013 school year [PDF].
The volunteer coordinator, Sylvia Taylor, (taylorssaa@yahoo.com)
will send out requests for the listed events and any new events that
require chaperone or ticket-selling assistance. If you would like to
volunteer early, just send Sylvia an email with your name and event
you would like to support. Most of these events are planned by the
school staff, and parents are just needed to assist--what a great
way to see your child interact socially while supporting your
school!
In addition, the Hospitality Committee will need baked goods for
various events. New bakers are always welcome. Please contact our
Hospitality coordinator, Tina Sheehan (ssheehan1@nycap.rr.com) if
you are interested in volunteering.
