On Friday, Feb. 16, eighth-grade students filled the school library with their National History Day projects, describing the lasting impact of world events. Every year, students research topics within a historical theme. This year’s theme was Conflict and Compromise in History. Students could present in either a traditional storyboard format or could create a website describing their findings. The student work delivered fresh perspective and understanding to topics ranging from the Holocaust to equal rights for women to the Underground Railroad and more. The presentations are judged by a group of volunteers and winners get the chance to move on in National History Day competition.

Congratulations to all of our students on their hard work.
