How does our Transportation Department celebrate the holiday season? By supporting those in need right here in our community. Three employees, in fact, are the heroes of this story. They are Amy Hunter, Danica Raup and Jackie Hill, who donated their own time, energy and materials to craft 14 beautiful wreaths and centerpieces that were auctioned off to co-workers at their holiday luncheon on Tuesday, Dec. 5. In addition, driver Bob Verstandig donated several beautiful poinsettia plants and Human Resource director Amy Baluch donated handcrafted hats and scarves that were part of a raffle at the annual luncheon.

Drivers, aides, mechanics and office staff all contributed a dish for the festive potluck event. Together, the generous Transportation staff collected $660 to help fund the district’s Caring and Sharing program, providing food and gift cards to families in need. They are making BC proud!
