Dear Families,

Parent Drop Off and Pick up

  • I would like to see all kids dropped off by 9:25 in the morning.  The process is very efficient now and I would like teachers to be able to start instruction by that time.

Today was Crazy Hair Day! – Check out the great pictures!

STEM Day Supplies – I am so AMAZED by the response to the request for supplies for our STEM Day in April!!!!  We have just a few items left that we need STEM Supplies Sign – Up

NYS Testing for Spring 2021
The NY State Education Department (NYSED) is asking the US Department of Education to waive state testing requirements for the grade 3-8 assessments. While we wait to see if they are successful, we are planning for a shorter version of the tests as directed by NYSED. Each test will be a single session and the dates are as follows:

  • ELA grades 3-5  –  Wed, April 21
  •  Math Grades 3-5 – Wednesday, May 5.
  • Science  Grade 4 – Monday, June 7

All BC students will be taking the tests on their Chromebooks this year rather than filling in bubble sheets with a pencil. We’ll be sure to update you on any additional changes if they arise. A district-wide communication from Assistant Superintendent Dave Hurst will be sent to all families regarding state testing the week of March 29th.

Friday Spirit Day – Mismatch Day – Let’s see your crazy outfit!

Collection for Animal Shelter – The Bethlehem Central United Employees Association is collecting for our area animal shelter and rescue organizations.  We have boxes placed around the school for children to drop off dog and cat food, toys, leashes, food dishes, collars, towels, etc.  The collection will be from March 15-26.

Have a great weekend!
