The following is a letter from Principal Mike Klugman about American Education Week activities at BCMS.

Dear Parents,

On behalf of Bethlehem Central Middle School, we would like to invite you to visit your child’s classes during American Education Week.

Our parent visitation days are scheduled for Tuesday, November 14th and Wednesday, November 15th.  It is our hope that a visit to the Bethlehem Central Middle School will provide you with an opportunity to learn more about our school curriculum and programs.  We aim to put our best foot forward for our students on a daily basis and showing you our norm is the best way we know to give you, our parents, a window into your child’s middle school experience!

Classroom visitations begin at 8:20 a.m., which is when first period begins, and concludes at 2:02 p.m., which is the end of period eight.  Due to bus dismissal, we are unable to have parents stay for ninth period.

  • Upon your arrival at school, please check in to the main lobby
  • We ask that you download a copy of your child’s schedule from Aspen in preparation for your visit.
  • Because of limited space in our cafeteria, we would ask that parents please do not attend or visit at lunch with their child.
  • You may bring your own lunch and relax in the LMC (Library) during that time period. Our cafeteria cannot prepare additional foods to supply the number of visiting adults.  We would appreciate it if you not remove your child from their regular schedule for lunch as it disrupts their routine. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate siblings on this day due to limited space.  We will be having a Book Fair in our LMC and we hope parents will spend time visiting our book displays!

IMPORTANT: Please note that parking is limited. We will have some rows reserved for you in the front parking lot; however, additional parking may be needed.  If so, you are welcome to park in the bus arrival/departure area.  Parking in this area is limited to the hours between 8:20 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Please do not enter, exit or park in this area before 8:20 a.m. or after 2:00 p.m. as this is will impede with our bus transportation.  We greatly appreciate your cooperation with this for the safety of our students.

We would appreciate it if you turn off your cell phones and/or program them for vibrate and not use them in classes.

Should you have any questions regarding the visitation days, please do not hesitate to contact us.  Thank you for your continued support.  We look forward to seeing you!
