Attention Grade 4 & 5 Students – Join Eagle’s Math Olympiads Club!

Are you a math wiz? Would you like to be one? Join us Tuesday mornings for The Math Olympiads Club!

Created in 1977 by Dr. George Lanchner, an internationally known math educator, Math Olympiads went public in 1979. Last year 150,000 students from 5,000 teams worldwide participated in the Olympiads. All 50 states and 25 other countries were represented. Usually each school has a team in which they participate in five Math Olympiads – five exams throughout the year. For more information go to http://www.moems.org. If you would like to have a great time tackling fun math problems – join us! We will meet on Tuesday mornings at 8:15 a.m., Room 17.

  • To stimulate enthusiasm and a love for Mathematics
  • To introduce important Mathematical concepts
  • To teach major strategies for problem solving
  • To develop Mathematical flexibility in solving problems
  • To strengthen Mathematical intuition
  • To foster Mathematical creativity and ingenuity
  • To provide for the satisfaction, joy and thrill of meeting challenges

Please bring a composition notebook and a pencil with you!
