black text, orange sneakersBreak out your best orange and black spirit gear! No Place for Hate at BC will wrap up its October anti-bullying month efforts with a first-ever Community Walk designed to build unity and respect for all members of the Bethlehem Central School District community.

The No Place for Hate Community Walk will take place on Tuesday, October 29 at 6 p.m. at Bethlehem Central High School on the track of the stadium field.

The walk is open to community members including students and families K-12. Elementary students in grades K-5 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Gates will open at 5:45 p.m. and the walk will conclude at 7 p.m. The walk will take place on the track with members of No Place for Hate from both the high school and middle school. Both schools have been designated No Place for Hate schools. The mission of No Place for Hate is to create a positive school climate and to challenge students to engage in activities that explore the value of diversity and teach skills to stop bias and bullying.

The Community Walk will include students speaking about their No Place for Hate experiences. There will also be music and other activities for participants. As the sun sets, we would like to light up the stadium field. Please bring a flashlight or your phone.

Bethlehem Opportunities Unlimited (BOU) is lending its support to the event by providing stickers and magnets with the hashtag #bethechangeBC.

Don’t miss this opportunity to show your support for our school community!
