BC students excel in 10 Day Film Challenge

Filed in BCHS, District, District News, Student Spotlight by on July 20, 2019

Congratulations to student filmmakers Madaleine Kotary, Megan Arnason, Matt Stento, Zephen Conway and Tess Biggane whose short film earned top 10 honors as part of the 10 Day Film Challenge. The film, entitled Final Judgement, stars seniors Connor Chung and Grant Napierski. It was one of 270 films submitted as part of the worldwide competition for high school filmmakers.

The 10 Day Film Challenge is an intense exercise for aspiring filmmakers where they are given only 10 school days in which to create an original short film based on a common set of requirements. These include the film’s genre, one required character, that character’s backstory, a required prop, and a line of dialogue that must be used within the film.

Final Judgement was nominated for best sound and was one of only 30 films to be selected for a special screening as part of the competition. The film finished 10th overall in the 10-Day Film Challenge.
