Sign up for College Visits

The counseling center has started its fall college representative visit schedule, which will be delievered virtually this year. You can register for a virtual meet with dozens of college reps right through your Naviance account. Here are the steps to register:

    1. Log into your Naviance account
    2. Click the “colleges” tab in the upper right of the home page
    3. Click “research colleges”
    4. Click “college visits”

This will open our full visit schedule and you can easily register. We have asked the college reps to schedule these visits for after school hours, so most should not interfere with your school day.


College admissions representatives are scheduling visits to BCHS (virtually)

  • Make sure you make a note of the date, time and college link.
  • Arrive 5 minutes early
  • Treat the visit like an interview • Cameras should be ON (if

  (if possible)

  • Add your full name to your Zoom profile
  • Be engaged • Ask questions, if you have any
  • Make a note of the admissions representative’s name for any future reference.

To access active scholarships, please go to Naviance and navigate to the top right, under “Colleges”, scroll down to “Scholarships and Money” then choose “Scholarship List”.

Certa Law Personal Injury & Wrongful Death Scholarship – A $1,000 Scholarship For Those Affected By Life-Changing Accidents is being offered by the Certa Law Personal Injury & Wrongful Death Scholarship and is an award for any current or soon-to-be undergrad who have had their life altered due to a bodily injury from an automotive or pedestrian accident. VFW Youth Scholarships – The VFW is dedicated to promoting patriotism and investing in our future generation. If you are a democracy-loving high school student, this scholarship may be for you. The national first-place winner receives a $30,000 scholarship paid directly to the recipient’s American university, college or vocational/technical school. A complete list of other national scholarships range from $1,000-$16,000, and the first place winner from each VFW Department (state) wins a minimum scholarship of $1,000. Read the rules and eligibility requirements, and download the 2020-21 entry form application, all student entries must be submitted to a sponsoring local VFW Post by midnight, Oct. 31, 2020.

 NYS Awards & Scholarships – Visit for a list of awards, scholarships and opportunities that are administered by the New York State Education Department. Awards and deadlines vary.

Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship – Each year, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation awards 150 college scholarships worth $20,000 to high school students across the U.S. through the Coca-Cola Scholars Program. Find details at  Students need a 3.0 GPA and to fill out an online application that requires no essays, no recommendations, and no transcripts by October 31, 2020, at 5 pm.
