As a way to give back, the Bethlehem Central High School Library Media Center participated in the annual vineyard vines “Whales for a Cause Campaign” and helped to donate over 100 books to children in need.

The campaign is a partnership between vineyard vines, a lifestyle apparel brand best known for its smiling pink whale logo, and the renowned publisher Simon & Schuster and First Book, the nonprofit social enterprise dedicated to educational equality.

To participate, students were encouraged to put their creative spin on the vineyard vines iconic whales. The whales were downloaded at vineyardvines.com, and then students colored in the whales and the BCHS LMC shared them on social media with the hashtag #WhalesForACause. For each hashtag shared a book was donated. BCHS LMC decorated and shared a total of 112 whales, equaling a total of 112 books donated.

Way to go, BCHS LMC! Making BC proud!
