BCMS announces 2017-18 musical

Filed in BCMS by on July 13, 2017

Bethlehem Middle School students will soar to new heights in next year’s musical production of Peter Pan, Jr., which will include the four main characters “flying” as they recreate the classic tale of a boy who refused to grow up. The musical, which will be the featured stage production at the school for the 2017-18 school year, is scheduled for January 25-27, 2018.

Jason and Lindsay Dashew, who direct the school’s musicals, say the planned show is the first time they can recall that a BC production will use flying effects.

“The flying equipment and expertise will be provided by Flying by Foy, one of the most experienced and widely-respected companies providing theatrical rigging equipment and support for Broadway shows, pop concerts and more,” said Mrs. Dashew.  “Needless to say, we are very excited about this show.”

Every year, the school’s musical – which often features up to 70 BCMS student performers and 75 technical crew members – attracts sell-out audiences.

BCMS students who are interested in participating in Peter Pan, Jr. should watch for an informational meeting to be held at the end of September. Auditions will be held in early October.
