student typing on computerHello!

My name is Beatrice Jones, I am 16 years old and a junior here at Bethlehem Central High School. I am interning in the district Communications Office and will produce feature articles for the Student Spotlight section of the website, which can be found on the district homepage. I will be working to develop my writing skills and to further expand my knowledge of the great events, people, and achievements going on throughout the Bethlehem community. And, I want to share what I learn with you!

First, I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself. I have been a part of the girls’ varsity soccer team for three years and earned my captaincy for the 2019-2020 season. I participate in volunteering at the Pine Hollow Arboretum, a great club the school offers and have been in two musical productions, one at the middle school and one at the high school. Why list all of these things that I have participated in? This is just a small list of the innumerable amount of activities offered here at BC and within these many activities, there are students who excel at their interests outside of the classroom.

I will be focusing on the students of Bethlehem Central High School and delving into their lives here at BC.

Bethlehem is a great community that has a lot of great people and events coinciding with each other. Here at the Student Spotlight, I want to be able to shed light on student achievements, clubs, sports, and numerous other activities going on here at BC. This will take the form of a monthly student profile.

I cannot wait to begin giving the members of the community a better idea of how great the staff and teachers are molding the students at BC to aspire to achieve great things in their lives.

If you want to get in touch with me or have information about high school students doing interesting things, please email me at
