On Monday, March 26, students from various Student Leadership Committees at Bethlehem Central Middle School, including the newest addition — No Place for Hate —came together for an important training by volunteers from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) on “How to Become an Ally.”

A total of 17 students from grades 6 through 8, volunteered to spend the day working with two facilitators from ADL in an effort to bring more awareness and acceptance to the middle school environment. Students and staff came away from the training with a sense of hope that each student will feel empowered to bring change in a positive way to the middle school.

The school would like to express a huge thank you to Dave DeCancio from Bethlehem Opportunities Unlimited (BOU). With the group’s generosity through their grant process, the students also enjoyed a fantastic pizza lunch!
