District Fundraisers

The district recognizes that parent-support groups (such as PTA/PTO, BMA, etc.) or “booster” organizations, provide important support to our schools, and can be a valuable means of stimulating community interest in the educational and recreational opportunities available to our students. This District Fundraisers page is provided as a service to those groups to use for informational purposes only. For more information about the activities and organizations listed below, please use the contact information provided with each entry.

  • BOU Community Spelling Bee is Tuesday, March 5

The Bethlehem Opportunities Unlimited (BOU) hopes you can join us on Tuesday, March 5 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the HS cafeteria for our 7th annual BOU Community Spelling Bee! This is a fun event to attend with your family and even more fun if you are part of a spelling team. No one spells alone and costumes are encouraged. (The snow date for the Spelling Bee is Monday, Mar. 11.)
 
How do I enter a team in the BOU Spelling Bee? Round up some friends (teams of 3-5 people, ages 13 and older) and fill out this BOU Spelling Bee team registration form. To participate, you can donate to BOU with a $120 donation per team, find a business who will sponsor your team with a $120 donation, or BOU can locate a sponsor from one of our generous community businesses. 

How can I sponsor or support a team in the BOU Spelling Bee? We are making it easy for local businesses to sponsor one of our teams of spellers. Fill out this BOU Spelling Bee sponsorship form. You can also use this form to “sponsor a word,” contribute a raffle item for our silent auction, or “purchase a lifeline” in advance for your favorite team.
 
Admission is free to this entertaining community event. There will be many wonderful raffle baskets to take a chance on and our silent auction has some great items. This is BOU’s main fundraiser and supports free educational events, such as Talking with Your Teen and Life After BC, and provides grant funding for positive youth programming for students in our district.

  • BCHS Soccer offers SAT Prep with Study Buddies, Jan. 20.

The BCHS Booster Soccer Club is partnering up with Study Buddies to offer an SAT Prep Class. 10% of proceeds will be donated to support the BCHS Booster Soccer Club. All are welcome to join. Register now. Classes start Sunday, January 20th and size is limited to 10 to ensure success. Classes will be held on Sunday’s from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. starting January 20 at the Bethlehem Town Hall.  Students are required to bring the following:

  • Cracking the SAT by The Princeton Review
  • 9 Practice Tests for the SAT by The Princeton Review
  • Graphing Calculator

  • BCHS Lab School Brook’s BBQ Fundraiser is Mar. 2

Bethlehem Lab School is hosting its annual Brook’s BBQ on Saturday, March 2nd. Chicken, Rib, and Lasagna dinners. Tickets go on Sale January through February. Pre-sale preferred. Walk-ins available.   • Support music in our schools by becoming a BMA member TODAY

The deadline to be included in the 2018-2019 Bethlehem Music Association membership acknowledgment booklet is Friday, November 9th. The BMA is grateful to all its members, whose support enables our young musicians to excel at all levels. If you choose to support, you may make a donation online at the BMA website: http://www.bcsdmusic.org/online-donation

  • Elsmere PTA raffle

Tickets for Elsmere PTA’s ongoing Hamilton Raffle are on sale just in time for the holidays! The winner will be randomly selected at Elsmere Community Day on June 8. The raffle winner will get two tickets to Hamilton at Proctors on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 2:00pm. Seats are ORCH CTR LEFT row N.  Winner does not need to be present to win. Ticket prices are 1 raffle ticket for $10, or 3 for $20 and are available to anyone in the community. To order, please contact Erin Reilly at myloyalsuitcaseblog@gmail.com.

  • Support BC athletics – BCAA Donor Drive Now Online

Starting this year, BCAA will no longer be mailing requests for donations to district families but, rather, are asking families to make donations online at our website (www.bcathleticassociation.org). BCAA relies entirely on the community’s generous support to fund its activities – there are no other fundraisers for BCAA – so we ask that you consider donating to the BCAA by visiting our website. 


Terms and Conditions

By checking the appropriate box on the District Fundraisers Submission Form, you are indicating you have read the following terms and conditions related to Bethlehem Central’s Fundraisers page:

  • Submissions for the page will only be accepted through the Web-based “District Fundraiser” form. No faxes, phone calls, hard copies or e-mails will be accepted. It is important that this process is streamlined so that all eligible parent-support groups or “booster” organizations who submit announcements can have them posted.
  • Announcements advertising fundraisers must be sponsored by a building or school club, a group or team and must be authorized by a building principal. These activities, events and programs  must be voluntary (per Board of Education Policy No. 5251.)
  • Those who submit fundraising information must provide a contact e-mail address or website to accompany their announcement.
  • Announcements advertising fundraisers must be associated with the school district or students, and as such, will be published only after the fundraiser has received the necessary approvals under district policy governing such fundraising activities (Board of Education Policy Nos. 1222 and 5251).
  • Organizations submitting a fundraiser announcement must indicate they have read the terms and the conditions.
