Disney’s The Lion King Jr. at BCMS

cartoon lionDon’t miss the excitement as the Bethlehem Central Middle School stage transforms into the savannah with an unforgettable performance of Disney’s The Lion King Jr! Join the fun as 70 cast members electrify the stage with their journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again.

Performance dates:

  • Thursday, January 17 at 7 pm
  • Friday, January 18 at 7 pm
  • Saturday, January 19 at 2 pm and 7 pm
  • Sunday, January 20 at 2 pm

In addition to the onstage performers, more than 60 students will carry out technical roles including sound, lighting, props, sets, costumes, hair, makeup and ushering to bring this inspiring, coming-of-age tale to life.

The Lion King Jr. tells the story of a curious lion cub as he struggles to accept the responsibilities of adulthood and his destiny as king. Along the way, he encounters a colorful cast of characters. Lindsay Dashew directs and choreographs this production, with musical direction by Jason Dashew.  The show is based upon the 1994 movie and includes such favorites as “Hakuna Matata” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” as well as additional songs penned for the Broadway production.

IMPORTANT TICKET UPDATE: Everyone is excited to travel to Pride Rock when the Middle School performs The Lion King, Jr. later this week at the BCMS auditorium. Thanks to tremendous advance ticket sales, please note the following:
– Tickets are nearly sold out for all performances with very limited seating availability. Performances are: Thurs., Jan 17 at 7p; Fri., Jan. 18 at 7p; Sat., Jan. 19 at 2p; and 7p, and Sun. Jan. 20 at 2p.
– The box office will be open 1.5 hours before every show, including any sold-out performances. 
– Tickets may be purchased for any show that has not sold out, whenever the box office is open. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students/seniors & BCMS faculty.                                   

Tickets for all performances are $8 Adults; $5 Students, Faculty, and Senior Citizens.
