Elementary Parents: Are YOU ready?

Filed in Archive by on August 31, 2016

Preparing for the start of a new school year can feel overwhelming, and not just for students. For parents, there are forms to fill out, supplies to gather, new schedules and routines to get used to, and just like for your children, new acquaintances to be made. To make it easier to navigate the start of the 2016-17 school year, elementary parents will find much of the information they will need to make the return to school smooth and relatively stress-free here:

ASPEN: Where to find YOUR CHILD’s most important information

Bus schedules, teacher assignments, emergency contact information and more for each of your students are posted and secured in the district’s parent portal, Aspen. Bus schedules were posted August 1 and teacher/homeroom assignments were posted on August 25.

Many teachers have posted welcome letters for students and families. These letters include important information. Not sure where to locate this information? How to find your child’s teacher welcome letter on Aspen. If you are having trouble logging into Aspen, visit our Aspen information page or contact the Aspen Help Desk at bcsdaspen@bcsd.neric.org.

There is also a welcome letter from Superintendent Jody Monroe and a one-page resource with information on who to call when you have a question or concern which has been posted in Aspen and also posted to the district website.

When you visit Aspen, please review your contact information and if you have any changes, please email District Registrar Melissa Haas at mhaas@bcsd.neric.org.

The printed district calendar was mailed to all families in mid-August. If you did not receive one or if you would like to print a copy, the calendar can be viewed or downloaded here.
