Filed in Elsmere by on January 17, 2018

On Friday, January 12, BC and Elsmere Alum Kaite Rowan was honored by faculty and students alike at Elsmere Elementary for her recent Alumni Hall of Fame induction.

The Bethlehem Central High School Hall of Fame welcomed Katie and four other new members during the 2017 Homecoming Weekend. They were inducted into the Hall of Fame during halftime at the football game on a sunny Saturday afternoon in front of a large Homecoming crowd.

Katie, currently the head women’s lacrosse coach at Wagner College, is a proud BCHS graduate from the class of 2005 and an Elsmere graduate from the class of 1998.

Elsmere First Grade Teacher Robin Reed started the assembly off by speaking of Katie’s examples of Elsmere PRIDE as she always does her Personal best, is Respectful, shows Integrity, is Determined, and is Enthusiastic.

During the assembly, 5th grade students were given the chance to interview Katie. One of the questions being, “what advise would you give to students who want to play sports?”

“Make sure you have fun, work hard, achieve more,” responded Katie. “But most importantly be a team player. You can’t get very far without your team.”

Thanks for stopping by Katie and for making Elsmere and BC proud!
