Filmmaking students take home top regional awards

In April, Bethlehem High School students in Filmmaking and Filmmaking for Production with Ms. Giovanna Prezio took home multiple awards at the 2019 Capital Region Media Arts Festival at Niskayuna High School. More than 50 films by students from 17 school districts were judged as part of the festival. Ms. Prezio’s students took home 3 out of 4 outstanding category awards.
  • Narrative Drama Honorable Mention and Overall Outstanding Editing: The Eye by Kyle Culley and Leo Rosenblum
  • Narrative Comedy Outstanding Film: Gym Class by Taylor Walsh, Nya Santeliz, Maggie Reynolds and Olivia Witkowski
  • Music Video Honorable Mention and Overall Outstanding Directing: Sunshine by Malvina Bhatia-Guerin
  • Animation: Stop Action Outstanding Film and Overall Outstanding Cinematography: Baked by Madaleine Kotary
