Filed in Archive, Glenmont by on March 27, 2020

For families who requested a Chromebook for home use by their K-5 student, Chromebook pick up will take place on Monday, March 30 at your elementary school.

Please pay careful attention to the following information:

Drive-Thru Chromebook Pick-Up is MONDAY, March 30, 2020

  • Glenmont Elementary School at the curb in front of the cafeteria

    • 9 a.m. to 12 noon – Student last name A-L ONLY
    • 12 noon to 3 p.m. – Student last name M-Z ONLY

This will be the only day for elementary Chromebook pick-up. If you are unable to pick up your child’s Chromebook during this window, you will need to make an appointment at a later date to pick up the device at the high school. Dates and times of appointments at the high school are limited at this time. Families who do not pick up the Chromebooks on Monday will be contacted directly.

Families who did not request a Chromebook for their child but need one should contact Technology Ray Nardelli by email at

Pick up will take place at the curb in front of the cafeteria. Please pull into the parking lot. You will see a staff member in the parking lot directing you where to drive.  Do not park your car.  And while we miss you and your family, please stay in your car until you are greeted by one of our staff members who will ask for your student(s) name(s). Your information will be relayed by radio to staff members inside the school who will deliver your child(ren)’s Chromebook(s) to your vehicle. The Chromebooks will have a plastic wrapping that can be easily removed and discarded when you return home.

Please note: our Glenmont parking lot was slated to be redone this coming summer as a part of the district’s bond. With school being closed, work has begun on a section of the lot that is closest to 9W (furthest away from the school building). Please pay special attention to the staff directing you in the parking lot for everyone’s safety!

To maintain recommended social distancing, please be prepared to open your trunk so the staff member can place the Chromebook(s) in the trunk of your car. If you can’t open your trunk remotely, we will place your Chromebook(s) in a back seat.

Thank you for your cooperation as we navigate this unprecedented situation. We appreciate your continued support of the Bethlehem Central Schools!
