Second grade ANTics a celebration

Filed in Archive by on November 4, 2016

For second graders in Mrs. Raffe’s class, it’s a rite of passage. Weeks spent learning about insects, their habitats, life cycles, and behaviors culminate with a performance about ants.

Taking the lessons beyond science, Mrs. Raffe has students work in groups, discovering words that include a-n-t and using language and drawings to describe what they have learned in their observations and discussions about insects. They presented their work, along with a few songs, and celebrated their ANTics with their family and friends on Nov. 3.
