“Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” is a quote made famous by Dr. Seuss. Of course, those words fit just as well at Hamagrael Elementary School where Principal Dave K. shows little fear when it comes to standing out. As an annual pre-spring ritual, Mr. K showed up on Thursday, March 2, 2017 dressed as the Cat in the Hat, the mischievous character made famous by Dr. Seuss in the book of the same name. With The Cat in charge, the entire school celebrated the birthday of Dr. Seuss whose real name is Theodor Geisel. This year marks the 113th birthday of Dr. Seuss. The day also marked National Read Across America Day 2017.
