Important K-5 transportation info
The BCSD Transportation Department provides bus transportation for all registered elementary students (grades K-5) from their HOME addresses. Bus routes are assigned automatically. Preliminary routes and schedules were posted August 1** and are available for families to view on the Aspen Parent Portal. (If you have a question about Aspen, please email bcsdaspen@bethlehemschools.org)
In certain circumstances, there are required forms that must be filled out by parents:
Parents of students who are not always picked up or dropped off at home:
- For students who are picked up or dropped off at a location other than home (child care provider) or in cases of joint custody, please review and complete this form. It is important to note that the district restricts most transportation to within the home school boundary, except in cases where a student attends a licensed daycare outside of that boundary.
Kindergarten parents and parents of students with special needs
- A parent or guardian must be present to receive a kindergarten or a special needs student at the bus stop. The parent or guardian can designate an alternate by filling out this form. If the parent/guardian or designated person is not present at the stop, the student will be sent back to the school.
Your child’s safety is our top priority. Please take a few minutes to review this information and return any applicable forms to the Transportation Department as soon as possible. If you have questions, please call 518-439-3830.
**Bus information is subject to change between Aug. 1 and the first day of school, Thursday, Sept. 6. Please check Aspen closer to the start of the year to confirm student bus information. Student homerooms and schedules will NOT be available until the end of August.
