Statement from superintendent on arrest of teacher

A statement from BCSD Superintendent of Schools Jody Monroe:

A teacher who is currently on leave from Bethlehem Central High School, Michael Fredette, was arrested on Thursday, March 14, by the Bethlehem Police Department on a misdemeanor charge of Stalking in the Fourth Degree.

The district is cooperating with the police in its investigation. Police department officials said in a statement there is no evidence at this time that the alleged behavior took place on school property nor do the charges involve a student currently enrolled in the district or who was a student at the time the behavior is alleged to have occurred.
