Letter from Principal Kloss, Feb. 7

Filed in Archive by on February 7, 2020

Dear Elsmere Families,

Happy National Wear Red Day. We hope that this day is a reminder to all to take good care of your hearts and your health in general.

What a busy week we had at Elsmere! A few highlights also shown in photos here:

* CAPER readers did a great job at our February event. Thanks to Lily, Jonathan, Holden, Liam, Emily, Diego, Juniper, Kyle, Matthew and Andrew for reading and announcing. A special thanks to Mr. Faller for coordinating, Mrs. Chapman for snacks and Ms. Hernandez for setting up.

* Global Play Day and International Read Aloud Day was on Wednesday. We had tons of fun screenless fun all across the school.

* Mrs. Mooney class enjoyed a special visit from Detective Hotaling and a K9 unit

Upcoming events for February:
Feb. 11 – PTA mtg. 7:00pm
Feb. 17-21 – February Break
Feb. 25 – Krause’s Candy Order Deadline
Feb. 27 – Hoops for Heart 6:00pm

During cold and flu season, please remind your children about healthy habits such as handwashing, coughing into their elbow, keeping their hands away from the faces, proper rest and hydration and more. As anyone who has had the flu can attest, it is no fun.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy weekend.

Sincerely,
Kate Kloss
