Dear Elsmere Families,
This week, national and local news provided us yet another somber reminder about safety. Please know that our school has many measures and practices in place to keep your children safe and we are vigilant in our preparedness made necessary by gun violence in our country. This guide was created to help adults talk with children about any fears they may have.
The smiles, determination and creativity of your children make our days fun and meaningful here at Elsmere. Please enjoy these photos and give your sweeties a big hug.
Looking ahead:
- Friday, April 7 – April 16 Spring Break
- April 19-20 – NYS ELA test for Grade 3-5. Like every day, we encourage students to get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and do your best
- Everyone is invited to attend our rescheduled PTA meetings, held at 7pm in the Elsmere library: Thursday April 20th, Tuesday May 16th, Wednesday June 14th
- Friday, April 21 – Grade 2 and 3 Math and Science Night at Elsmere – come enjoy games and fun puzzles while learning!
- April 21 – 23 – Eagle Challenge
- April 22 – Spring Recycle/ Reuse Fest for textiles, books and bicycles. Co-sponsored by the BCSD Green Team (Thank you Mrs. Mara and Mrs. Meyer!)
Have instruments, will travel. Our band and orchestra lessons have moved rooms at Elsmere. Band will now meet in the music room and orchestra will meet on the stage.
