Letter from Principal Kloss, Nov. 18

Dear Elsmere Families,

It’s Schoolhouse Rock time! Our students would LOVE to hear about your days in elementary school! Please complete and send in the schoolhouses we sent home recently. These will be used to decorate our huge hallway bulletin board right after Thanksgiving.

Our first day of parent-teacher conferences seemed to go very well. We hope you will take full advantage of this opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and goals with teachers. Your partnership is invaluable. We have your child for just a small sliver of their lives and we hope to make the most of it! We will continue with conferences and an 11:50 dismissal on: Wednesday, November 30 and Tuesday, December 6.

Saturday offers a great opportunity for Bethlehem residents through an in-town recycling event. Bring your old books, bikes, textiles and shredding from 10-1 to the Middle School for America Recycles Day where they will be taken care of in an ecologically sound manner.

Coming up:

  • Nov. 22 – Grand Lunch Event Grandparents and Special Friends are invited to have lunch at school with their Elsmere child. Please click here for times and registration
  • Nov. 23-27 – Thanksgiving Break
  • Nov. 30 – Early dismissal for Parent Teacher conferences

With gratitude as a focus of the month, we are grateful for both the large and the small things that we are fortunate to enjoy. Please help those less fortunate by contributing  to Kindergarten Daisy Troop’s  collection of shampoo, soap, toothpaste and deodorant for people encountering homelessness. They are collecting until November 22,

Enjoy our photos here and a delightful weekend!

Sincerely,

Kate Kloss
