Letter from Interim Principal Andy Baker, Dec. 15

Filed in Elsmere by on December 15, 2017

Dear Elsmere Families,

We had a busy week here at Elsmere! Today our 5th graders were treated to an educational birds presentation by Whispering Willow Wildcare.  Many thanks to the PTA for sponsoring this worthwhile event which the children enjoyed very much. Earlier in the week, many first graders shared their small moment stories to their third grade buddies. And today, I had a record number of students in for “birthday lunches!” It was a great week for celebrating and learning!

Personally, I love the snow and the fun it brings, but it is not without its challenges here at school! Thanks to all the students, teachers, and noon aides for their cooperation with everything that is involved with going outside for recess – it sure was a cold week, but it’s great to get outside for some fresh air! Thank you to our custodial staff for keeping the building clean and the floors dry.

Thanks to the many students and families who donated to the district holiday caring and sharing program. This year was a great success and it could not happen without all your generosity and support!

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Andy Baker
