Dear Elsmere Families,

We had a busy full week here at Elsmere! Our D.A.R.E graduation took place on Thursday; the students were very proud to be recognized. I was very impressed with the students’ essays that were read!

Report cards will be uploaded to ASPEN for you to view this afternoon. Please take the time to read and review the report card and comments with your child to note areas of strength and areas for continued growth. The teachers took great care to provide specific feedback and personalized comments about the children.

Tonight is Movie Night! The movie, Despicable Me 3, was chosen by the students to be shown. Pizza will be served in the cafeteria at 5:30 and the movie commences right at 6pm. This event is free and open to all.

Just another reminder, as conditions allow, it is our expectation that the children will go outside for recess. Make sure you continue to send your children in with a warm jacket, hat, gloves and any additional outdoor attire. Thank you very much.

In closing, next Friday, February 2nd, Elsmere School is participating in “wear red for women’s health” to support the American Heart Association. All students are encouraged to wear red to support this worthy cause.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Andy Baker
