Dear Elsmere Families,

We are fortunate to have finally received some great weather this past week, and with the exception of some needed rain, let’s hope it continues!

As we move closer to the end of the school year, thoughts turn to preparing for the successful close of this year and new beginnings next year. To that end, Elsmere faculty will soon be meeting to discuss student class placement for the fall. If there is anything you would like to share with me before the process begins, please contact me at abaker1@bethlehemschools.org by May 18. As always, requests for specific teachers cannot be honored.

Here are some upcoming events:

  • Wacky Olympics – Friday at 6 p.m., BCHS
  • Book Huggers Club – Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., Elsmere Library
  • Grade 5 Parent Orientation – Thursday at 7 p.m., BCMS

I want to take the opportunity to thank Pam McIntosh, an aide who has worked in one of our intensive skills classes for the past few years. Tuesday was Pam’s last day here and we thank her for her service to Elsmere.

Yesterday was Administrative Professionals day and we recognized Mrs. Greenman and Mrs. Calaban for their hard work, dedication, and caring for the children. Thanks Lisa and Joyce for all you do to help Elsmere run so smoothly!

Thanks and have a wonderful rest of the week and weekend.

Sincerely,

Andy Baker
