Letter from Interim Principal Baker, Jan. 12

Filed in Elsmere by on January 12, 2018

Dear Elsmere Families,

Good afternoon! I hope you all had a great week and are making plans for some family time this Monday, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. It is an important day to stop and reflect on the values of respect, citizenship, and equal opportunity for all.

Today we had the pleasure of gathering as a school to recognize one of our very own Elsmere graduates, Katie Rowan, who was inducted into the BC Hall of Fame this past fall for her accomplishments in the sport of lacrosse. These events are always special; in one respect because we get to honor the accomplishments of someone who has made us proud, but in another sense it gives us an opportunity to celebrate the impact a strong, supportive environment has on the development and confidence of a child. What makes me most proud to be here at Elsmere is the dedication, every day, all of our staff puts forth in creating a safe and caring world for the children in our care.

The Elsmere Winter Concert is at 7pm on Tuesday, January 16th. All of the performances will be held in the High School auditorium. Please come out and listen to the beautiful music our 4th and 5th grade students have been working so hard to create! The children also performed today at our January assembly! As a reminder, please continue to check our website for updates on dates and times of all of our events.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Andy Baker
