Letter from Interim Principal Laurel Jones, Jan. 5

Filed in Eagle by on January 5, 2018

Eagle Families,

Your generosity and support for the BC Family is amazing. We had a great Hat Day today and I am so proud to report that Eagle raised $700 for the McCabe Family during this difficult time.

We have had some cold, snowy weather recently and as a reminder we send the children out for recess unless the temperature is 10° or below with the wind chill or if it is too icy outside. Thank you for sending your children dressed appropriately for arrival and dismissal even when we do not go outside.

We have our winter concert coming up on January 29th.  It is a pleasure to listen to the band, orchestra, and choir rehearsing.  There has been a lot of progress since October!

Over the next two weeks, January 8-19 all of our students will be taking the i-Ready Diagnostic for the second time. iReady is an adaptive online assessment tool for reading and in math.  This assessment is designed to be engaging for students and will help us assess the individual needs of each child to help plan instruction.  You can find more information about the assessment as well as an overview of the parent night presentations in October on our district website.  You can use the search for “i-Ready Assessments”.

One final announcement, the BCMS production of Peter Pan Jr. features many of our former Eagle students. The show runs from January 25-28. You can purchase tickets on the following dates at our middle school or also beginning 1 ½ hours prior to each performance.

  • 1/16: 11-1
  • 1/17: 3-6
  • 1/20: 10-12

Have a wonderful weekend! Try to stay warm!

Regards,
Laurel
