Letter from Interim Principal Laurel Jones, Oct. 27

Filed in Eagle by on October 27, 2017

Eagle Families,

I can not believe that next week brings us into November. We have had a wonderful October at Eagle. I hope your student has shared their excitement and learning with you.

As I walk through the halls and spend time in classrooms, I have been so impressed with what I see. I complimented the students over the morning announcements and I would like to share some of what I saw with you as well. I saw students following adult directions, peers helping other peers, teachers working with individual students and small groups, respectful classes listening to books being read aloud, students sharing their talents by playing instruments and creating artwork, and a lot of fun at recess. It is truly a pleasure to be at Eagle!

Tonight is the Spooktacular. This is a student only drop-off event run by the PTO.  Please remember that no weapons, pretend or toy, will be allowed since there are young children at this event. As you know our parking lot fills up quickly. You are welcome to use the street and High School parking lot. Students will be signed in and signed out alphabetically to ensure the safety of all students. Please make sure your child knows who is picking them up. Thank you in advance for your patience. A HUGE thank you to the PTO who has been busy planning this for months and to the faculty and parents who have volunteered to help keep the night safe and fun for all.

Monday we will have our first school wide assembly of the year. At this event we will be celebrating our school spirit. Please break out our school colors, black and orange! As a special addition to our school spirit celebration we will be offering face painting to our students. There will be only one option, a wave of black and orange dots.  If you prefer your child not have face paint, please send a note to school on Monday.

Have a wonderful weekend and a happy and safe Halloween.
