Dear Families,

Happy New Year!!!  I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday!

Last Friday we had our “Kick Off the New Year with Kindness” assembly.  All of our classes do activities to promote kindness throughout the year, and now we are doing this as a whole school.  Mrs. Platek taught all the children the words to “Show a Little Kindness” and Ms. Qualtere created a video.  The kids are wonderful – take a look!

The SHARE COMMITTEE (Students Helping and Respecting Everyone) will help KICK OFF THE YEAR WITH KINDNESS by collecting gently used primary, intermediate, and young adult books.

As you clear your shelves with that New Year’s resolution to organize and declutter please consider donating your books. We will be collecting and donating these books for a LITTLE FREE LIBRARY we will be starting this spring at the Marillac Shelter, for families in crisis to have books in their hands. THANKS as always for your generosity and teaching our students about simple acts of kindness.  We will have boxes in the front lobby and in the primary wing.

Check out what the Little Free Library program is all about –

Our Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, January 25, 26 and 27.  We will be dismissing children at 11:30 a.m. on our conference days.  The report cards will be posted on ASPEN on Monday, January 23 in the afternoon.  We will send out an SNN when they are posted and ready for you to review.

Have a great weekend!!
