Letter from Principal Kloss, April 7

Filed in Archive by on April 7, 2017

Dear Elsmere Families,

It was a fun start to April at Elsmere this week. Fourth graders enjoyed a visit with historian Jeff Bennett, who showed medical treatment artifacts from long ago (yes, leeches!). Our primary grades were treated to an Albany Symphony Orchestra presentation, generously sponsored by the PTA, and we all learned more about doing our part to reduce, reuse and recycle at our April assembly.

Speaking of reusing and recycling, if you are doing any spring cleaning, the Bethlehem Town Recycling Day is this Saturday from 10-1 at the Elm Ave Town Park. Please see our BC webpage for details. At Elsmere, we are also collecting gently-used children’s clothing, sizes 2T-5T  for local agency Mary’s Corner.

All kindergarten and first graders and their parents are invited to come to our Math and Science Night this evening to participate in fun learning activities, including puppet making!

Enjoy a wonderful weekend.

Sincerely,
Kate Kloss
