Dear Elsmere Families,

It is hard to believe that it is the end of the school year already! Many thanks to all families for your partnership in creating a fun, supportive and exciting school. A special thank you to our PTA for the work they have done this year to bring great things to Elsmere and for maintaining this strong relationship. A special thanks to PTA president Liz Cartagena and the PTA board members for their PTA leadership.

We dismiss for the summer next Wednesday with a 12:10 dismissal, but before we go, we will have a busy half week! With end of the year parties, class plays and our fifth graders moving up ceremony, it should be a great end to the year.

It is difficult to sum up all the learning that has occurred over the year. But with “a picture worth a thousand words”, please scroll through our photo gallery and yearbook. Many of this year’s highlights are captured here to spark those great memories and conversations. The end of the year has continued to be as busy as the beginning, so check back in a week or two for lots more photos.

A calendar of fun and free (or inexpensive) local summer activities will be coming home next week. On it, students are invited to record the titles of the books they read each day and bring this completed calendar back to school in September to participate in an ice cream party.

Once again, thank you for your partnership and for sharing your amazing children with us.  We often hear praise for the friendly and exciting climate of Elsmere Elementary. While this reputation is well-deserved, it is truly due to the commitment and trust of the families we work with. Thank you!
