Dear Elsmere Families,

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Lucky the Leprechaun has been sneaking around Elsmere spreading good cheer, much to the delight of our youngest students. What a great reminder of the wise Irish saying, “Bricks and mortar make a house, but the laughter of children makes a home.” I would add to this that children’s laughter adds something wonderful to any building!

Congratulations to our 5th grade choral students on a terrific performance at the District Choral Festival last night, with all Bethlehem choir members in grades 5-12 conducted by Dr. Everett McCorvey. Many thanks to Elsmere choir director, Mrs. Guyon, parents, and the Bethlehem Music Association for helping to bring this amazing experience to our children and community.

Our Elsmere Science Fair will be held March 21st! It sounds like some amazing projects are in the works. And don’t forget the BCCF Wacky Olympics on March 24 at 6pm at the High School, featuring a fantastic Elsmere team!

This spring, the BC School Board will continue their discussions of the 2017-18 proposed budget. Community members are urged to become educated about budget issues and proposals. The BC website and school board meetings are great sources of information.

Enjoy a wonderful start to March Madness!

Sincerely,

Kate Kloss
