Letter from Principal Kloss, Mar. 31

Filed in Archive by on March 31, 2017

Dear Elsmere Families,

Well, it looks like we have a new adage for March: “In like a lion, out like a lion.”  As long as we are all together at Elsmere School, it’s all good!

During the month of April, we will be talking about caring for our environment. How does your family do their part to keep our earth a healthy place? Please take some time this weekend to assist your child in completing the card being sent home today and return it on Monday for our hallway bulletin board.

Congratulations to our last CAPER readers of the year: Leah, Rowan, Finn, Delilah, Ben and Liliana. Such great stories were read with wonderful fluency and expression. Even our special guests, Courtney Murphy and Milo Meyer, were impressed!

We can also wish congratulations to our third, fourth and fifth graders who completed the New York State English Language Arts assessment this week. The perseverance, hard work and positive attitude of students demonstrated true Elsmere Pride. Next up, NYS Math tests May 2-4.

Did you know that we have a 95.5 Kid of the Week and a 2017 Legislative Art Show artist at Elsmere? Way to go, Brian S. and Laynie S.!

If you are looking for some great, local entertainment this weekend, look no further than our high school. A production of The Wizard of Oz, which includes some Elsmere munchkins, has several shows Friday-Sunday.

Enjoy your own little munchkins this weekend!
