Letter from Principal Kloss, Nov. 20

Filed in Elsmere by on November 20, 2018

Dear Elsmere Families,

It is another short school week for us as we take time to celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends.  At this time, we are called to rejoice in the many wonderful aspects  of our lives. Although life brings us all challenges, we certainly are able to count ourselves among the very fortunate. Living in a free society with basic necessities amply filled is only a dream for so many people around the world.

On my list of “thankfuls”, Elsmere is also near the top. Rarely do school communities enjoy the kindness, appreciation for individuals and genuine team effort that we Elsmere folks bask in daily. For every one of you who has done something to make Elsmere such a special and caring place for our children and adults, I am thankful.

We are getting ready to kick off the Bethlehem Central 2018-19 Caring and Sharing Program which prepares food boxes for those in need. To donate, please click here. If you are a family who has received assistance through the Holiday Caring and Sharing Drive in the past or if you are a family needing help this year, please fill out this online form. If you know of a district family who could benefit from this effort, please share this information.

After the break, we will have:

  • Wednesday, November 28 – 11:45 dismissal with Parent-Teacher conferences
  • Friday, November 30 – Grade 3 Breakfast, 8:45-9:10 (grade 4 breakfast is rescheduled to January 4)
  • Friday, November 30 – Picture retake day

If you did not get a chance to read our newsletter last week, please check it out here. I wish you a very enjoyable and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday!

Sincerely,

Kate Kloss
